Not in the clickable, “click-and-go” sense — Instagram only allows live, clickable links in:
- Your bio (1 link — or more if you use a link aggregator like Linktree or Beacons)
- Story stickers (if your account has access — business and creator accounts do)
- Paid ads
- Instagram Shopping product tags
In-feed posts can’t have clickable links in the caption or image itself. If you drop a URL in the caption, it’ll just be plain text people have to copy-paste (which, let’s be real, most won’t bother doing).
Workarounds people use:
- “Link in bio” call-to-action — Update your bio link to the relevant URL and tell people to tap it. This however assumes they go to the account page but they don’t
- Use Stories — If you’ve got the sticker feature, you can add an actual clickable link.
- Use IG ads — You can link directly to a website.
- DM for the link — Useful for engagement and lead gen if you want to start conversations.
